Why should I have a hay analysis?

Since the majority of the horse's diet is grass, a significant portion of the nutrients needed is provided from grass. Knowing this information means you can plan what supplements are actually required to meet the horses' needs. So getting your weed tested gives an idea of its nutritional value, so it can reveal deficiencies and mineral imbalances that can be detrimental to the health and performance of your horse. Physical properties help guide whether or not to buy herbs, but are equally important in chemical and microbiological analysis.

Testing the herb is not a very complicated task, but the evaluation of the results should be done by experts. If you are unsure of what the results mean or which tests to apply, contact our office; we will be happy to assist you.
