What are the most important amino acids for horses?

Amino acids are the basic building blocks that make up proteins and show the quality of protein sources. Horses cannot synthesize all amino acids. Lysine, methionine, and threonine are the first limiting amino acids. For ideal muscle development and maintenance of horses, especially the essential amino acids with their feed should be taken in ideal proportions.

When they are deficient, horses cannot take full advantage of the protein they need for hair and skin health, growth and muscle development.
